Junior Sessions

LincolnTri has a large and active junior section which produces some outstanding athletes as well as providing an excellent opportunity for less competitive children to enjoy sport.

The LincolnTri Juniors meet every Friday night (except during school holidays) at Yarborough Leisure Centre, Riseholme Road, Lincoln, LN1 3SP, and caters for athletes aged between 7 and 18 years.

Sessions are based around running skills, bike handling skills, general fitness, transition skills and the rules of triathlon.  Sessions are designed with FUN in mind and are delivered by qualified British Triathlon (BTF) coaches.  We want athletes to enjoy themselves whilst training, encouraging them to keep active, keep fit and hopefully preparing for competition.

We Meet at 6:45pm - in the Cafe area which is just inside the Main Entrance to Yarborough Leisure Centre.

The track is booked between 7 and 8.30pm. The track can be located to the rear of the Centre, and is sign posted from the Main Entrance.

Please bring your running shoes, bike and cycling kit including helmet!  Please dress for the weather and don't forget a drink!  Please note that during the winter/dark evenings you will be notified what kit is required, be it for cycling or for running, or sometimes both! Check Junior News/Articles for weekly equipment/kit requirements.

This session is open to LincolnTri club members only, although you are very welcome to try a couple of sessions before joining LincolnTri Club.  For 2011 Junior Membership is £15 per individual or £35 for family membership.

Please complete the Parental Consent Form and bring with you on your first vist.

Cost per session is £2.50
