Cycle to Work is a tax incentive aimed at encouraging employees to, er, cycle to work, thereby reducing air pollution and improving their health.
The scheme allows employees to benefit from a long term loan of bikes and commuting equipment such as lights, locks and panniers completely tax free. Details here.

Christopher Smith took part in the second running of the "Mud, Sweat & Gears"
Off Road Duathlon on Sunday 1st April Sherwood Pines near Nottingham.The event
consisted of a 6k Trail Run, 18k Trail Bike Ride, 3K Trail Run. Chris finished
in 36th place (out of 125) in 1hr 43m 15sec. This was his first multi sport

Three members of
Lincoln Tri Club recently took part in the "Marathon des Sables", a six-day
race through the Sahara desert covering over 150-miles. The race has frquently
been described as the "toughest foot-race on earth" Jack O'Hern, Edward Strange,
and Colm McCoy all successfully completed the race, overcoming illness and severe
blisters in the process. More detailed reports and personal accounts should
