We offer a range of coached sessions for children and adults, organise our own triathlon and duathlon events and attend and support other races. Within the last 12 months we have developed a members discount scheme and have started to offer some new free club sessions – including a winter run training session, with coach Clint on the South common, which was well attended and appreciated.
Our junior section is superb and we have been used by other clubs to model their junior sections on! We have hosted a number of sessions during the last year, where other clubs have visited us to gain experience in coaching juniors.
Our coaches and committee collectively provide a comprehensive bank of triathlon knowledge and experience that all members can tap into via our range of coaching sessions and social media channels. There is almost always someone at hand online to offer tips, help and encouragement and we now have a dedicated email address to ask our coaching team any triathlon related questions, no matter how small.
We are not just about racing though...we pride ourselves on building friendships and arrange fun and memorable social days and evenings of entertainment throughout the year. This year we had a super successful training camp at Woodhall with a picnic and a fun day at a water park during the school holidays for all members and their families. We find that many of our members choose to train and socialise together outside of offical club sessions and form strong bonds of friendship.
Our club is extremely lucky to be sponsored by OSB Events – the founders and organisers of the epic Outlaw long distance triathlon in Nottingham. Every year we try to partially repay them for the support they offer our club, by sending a team of around 80 members to run two of the feed-stations on the marathon course during the event. The feedback from this year’s event was fantastic – all the volunteers, especially the children, had an exciting and fun-filled day and had a great opportunity to view the event from a worker’s perspective whilst looking after the atheletes’ nutritional needs. We received loads of positive comments and thanks for all our members’ hard work, via our social media channels and nearly all our volunteers said that they’d be back again next year ...unless the experience had convinced them to sign up and actually race!
We love our club, our #lincolntrifamily, and pride ourselves on offering our members the opportunity to train, compete and most importantly, have fun, in a friendly, safe and supportive environment.
